Statistics on refugees and asylum-seekers in Northern Europe

The latest UNHCR Northern Europe Fact Sheets provide a statistical overview concerning asylum-seekers, refugees and stateless persons in the region.

30.09.2019

UNHCR

How many asylum-seekers arrived last year and within the first half of 2019 to the different Northern European countries?

Who are they and where did they come from? How many were granted protection and how many refugees arrived under the resettlement program?

The latest UNHCR Northern Europe Fact Sheets – covering Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden – provide an overview of 2018 and 2019 mid-year statistics concerning asylum-seekers, refugees and stateless persons in the region.

The Fact Sheets also show the numbers of arrivals, resettlement cases, the percentage and total number of people granted protection, as well as arrivals in the different countries over the last five years.
