Overview

The Sheikh Eid Bin Muhammad Al Thani Charitable Foundation is a Qatari humanitarian organizations that is concerned with the welfare of people in Qatar and abroad, and has been established in 1995.
During its twenty-five-year humanitarian journey, it has implemented major humanitarian projects that have benefited millions around the world, and in these projects the foundation was integrated with the United Nations 17 SDGs which aim to eradicate poverty and hunger, maintain health, improve the quality of education and equality, provide clean water, and work to preserve the environment by investing in clean energy, providing job opportunities, contributing to industries, establishing and developing infrastructure, eradicating racial discrimination and creating sustainably living societies, recycling, expanding green life, and spreading a culture of peace and tolerance.

Support to UNHCR

Eid Charity funded UNHCR directly and through other partners with a total of US$4.5 million in support of refugees in Bangladesh and Lebanon, as well as, the internally displaced in Yemen and Iraq.
