The main priorities of UNHCR are to strengthen the system of international protection in the country in line with applicable international standards and assist the Government and civil society in responding to the most urgent humanitarian and protection needs of the refugees and asylum seekers.
UNHCR Skopje places particular focus on enhancing protection monitoring, child protection, creating more favorable environment for local integration, as well as on improving referral and profiling processes, so to ensure that all those in need of various forms protection are timely assisted.
