{"id":121,"date":"2014-12-26T15:24:57","date_gmt":"2014-12-26T15:24:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sens.unhcr.org\/?page_id=121"},"modified":"2022-10-19T08:52:22","modified_gmt":"2022-10-19T08:52:22","slug":"training-material-sens-field-training","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.unhcr.org\/sens\/training-material-sens-field-training\/","title":{"rendered":"Training Materials for Survey Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Training of survey teams is fundamental for the quality of the survey information collected and preparation for the training and survey will take time.<\/p>\n<p>The training for the full UNHCR SENS (i.e. all 7 modules included) is recommended to last at least 6 days, depending on context and team experience (including the standardisation tests for anthropometry and haemoglobin measurements, and the pilot test). Extra staff should be trained in case someone is unable to perform the field work. If mobile phones are used for data collection, specific training will be required.<\/p>\n<p>Recommendations for training and tips are provided in the individual survey modules for the different levels of responsibility (i.e. team leader, measurer, and interviewer).<\/p>\n<p>The main topics to cover in training of enumerators are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reason \/ objectives for SENS survey<\/li>\n<li>Composition of survey teams: roles and responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Sampling procedure: why sample?, explained in a way that enumerators can later on explain to community members when asked;
