New grant opportunity for refugee-led and community-based organizations

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is pleased to announce a new Grant Agreement opportunity aimed at supporting organizations and groups led by individuals with direct lived experience of forced displacement or statelessness. This initiative aims to empower these communities by providing financial support to address their unique challenges effectively.   

Who Can Apply? 

 The grant is open to: 

  • Organizations or groups primarily led by individuals with direct lived experience of forced displacement or statelessness 
  • Entities whose stated objectives and activities focus on responding to the needs of forcibly displaced and stateless people, as well as their host communities 
  • Community-based organizations from host communities whose objectives and activities center on supporting forcibly displaced and stateless people 

 

How to Apply? 

 Applicants can submit their proposals through two channels: 

  1.  For those registered on the UN Partner Portal (UNPP): 

Access the Call for Expression of Interest via the portal 

Submit your application by 7 February 2025 

 

2. For those not registered on the UNPP: 

 Complete the Grant Agreement Concept Note template 

Send the concept note to [email protected] by 7 February 2025 

The Grant Agreement Concept Note template is available on the UN Partner Portal and contains detailed eligibility criteria.
