UNHCR annual Global Trends report 2023

UNHCR's Global Trends report presents key statistical trends and the latest official statistics on refugees, asylum-seekers, internally displaced and stateless persons.

Ongoing and new conflicts have driven displacement across the world in 2023, with over 117.3 million people forcibly displaced by the end of the year. This constitutes a rise of 8 per cent or 8.8 million people compared to the end of 2022 and continues a series of year-on-year increases over the last 12 years.
