Life in the Shadows: Protection and Assistance needs of Afghan Children and Youth in Pakistan examines how a shrinking protection space is affecting Afghan children, youth, and their families living in Pakistan. Drawing on 1,109 interviews conducted in 2025, including 254 children aged 14-17, the report sheds light on the lived experiences, risks, and unmet needs of Afghan communities amid rising fear, exclusion, and uncertainty.
