The Refugee Funding Tracker is a comprehensive tool designed to track financial data related to refugee programs coordinated by UNHCR. Launched in 2019, it serves as a “one-stop shop” for compiling all financial data related to regional and country refugee response plans.
It helps in coordinating and managing the financial aspects of refugee assistance, making it easier to identify and address funding gaps.
- The RFT covers budgets and funding for refugee-related appeals and plans, such as Country and Regional Refugee Response Plans (RRPs).
- The data comes from various sources, including UN agencies and NGOs involved in refugee responses. These agencies report their funding through established mechanisms or directly via the RFT form. Participating agencies are required to report in a timely way on the funds they receive, ensuring an accurate picture of funding gaps for host governments, donors, and partners.
