Education Pathways

Education Pathways Ireland is a government-funded programme that offers Masters-level scholarships allowing refugees to study abroad and gain skills to work towards a brighter future. Twelve refugees have benefitted from this scholarship programme in Ireland to date.

Eligibility criteria

Text and media 21

  • Be registered as a refugee with UNHCR and currently resident in Uganda
  • Completed a Bachelor's degree in a field related to the Masters programme
  • Achieved minimum GPA equivalent to a 2.2
  • Be fluent in English (CEFR Level C1/C2)
  • Be self-reliant and suitable for integration in Ireland as an individual
