Education Pathways

Education Pathways Ireland is a government-funded programme that offers Masters-level scholarships allowing refugees to study abroad and gain skills to work towards a brighter future. Twelve refugees have benefitted from this scholarship programme in Ireland to date.

Eligibility criteria

Be registered as a refugee with UNHCR and currently resident in Uganda
Completed a Bachelor's degree in a field related to the Masters programme
Achieved minimum GPA equivalent to a 2.2
Be fluent in English (CEFR Level C1/C2)
Be self-reliant and suitable for integration in Ireland as an individual

Please Note: UCD's 2 scholarship places are open exclusively to female refugees. UCC and the University of Galway welcome applications from both male and female refugees.
