Invitation to Apply for Local Co-Chair Positions in Local Refugee Coordination Forums in the Republic of Moldova

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the Local Refugee Coordination Forums (LRCFs) have been essential in coordinating the refugee response at the local level across the Republic of Moldova. To enhance local ownership and strengthen the capacities of local actors, the LRCFs are opening a co-chair position in each location to be filled by a local organization.

The local co-chair role will enhance the coordination and implementation of refugee response activities, promoting greater involvement and leadership from local organizations.

Responsibilities of the Local Co-Chair:

  • Liaise with LRCF members and external parties to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Assist with logistics and secretariat duties for LRCF meetings.
  • Ensure active participation of all members and support coordination with other local structures.
  • Promote capacity-building initiatives and support members in implementing best practices.
  • Advocate for the protection and inclusion of refugees and host communities.

Selection Process:

Interested candidates are invited to submit a Letter of Interest, through the link below, expressing their motivation for joining the chair-board, detailing their operational experience, and their capacity to manage the responsibilities associated with this role. The Inter-Agency Coordination Unit will review applications in consultation with each Local Refugee Coordination Forum member.
