Working with partners

UNHCR is working closely with other UN agencies within the UN respective country team,  including as part of the UNDAO/UNDAF) process, to help secure protection for persons of concern on the ground, including e.g. separated and unaccompanied children and persons at risk of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence.

UNHCR is engaged with UN partners in undertaking the inter-agency contingency planning to efficiently respond to a potential major influx of migrants and refugees in the region. In the area of asylum, at the regional level, UNHCR is closely collaborating with the EU agencies EASO, FRONTEX, the European Commission, as as well as with the IOM, as part of the EU-funded Regional IPA II project to support Protection-sensitive migration management systems in the Western Balkans and Turkey.
