¹ At its 12th plenary meeting, on 24 May 1988, the Economic and Social Council took note of the oral report made on 3 May 1988 by the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees on assistance to refugees and displaced persons in Malawi, pursuant to General Assembly resolution 421132 of 7 December 1987.²
