N'Djamena

On 13 June, some 300 people took part in a solidarity march in N'Djamena. The participants included refugees, humanitarian and human rights workers, government officials, artists, painters, singers and musicians. Local and international press joined in the march.

Chadian and urban refugee children took part in a drawing competition on the theme of children's rights. A Chadian artist spent three weeks in refugee camps and sites for displaced people in Goz Beida, where he produced paintings and art pieces with the children. Some of the art was later displayed at the French Culture Centre in N'Djamena.

On 20 June, local artists and refugee artists took part in a ceremony based on the theme of refugee children and their rights.

Goré

Drawing contests for children were held with different themes. A committee selected the 10 best drawings and the winners explained the message of their drawing. A debate on child rights was held in Dosseye Camp.
