Refugee Olympic Team Paris 2024: Watch & Engage
The Refugee Olympic Team is a symbol of hope, courage, determination and peace. The athletes typify the resilience and strength of spirit of those who have been forced to flee their homes and rebuild their lives.
UNHCR partners with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and the Olympic Refuge Foundation to support refugees participating in the Games in Paris. Together we are leveraging the power of sport to bring hope and improve the lives of all displaced people, including those with disabilities.
This year, 37 refugee athletes will compete in Paris under the Olympic flag as part of the Refugee Olympic Team (EOR), and eight refugee athletes will compete as part of the Refugee Paralympic Team (RPT) during the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games.
