Aruba
The presence of refugees and migrants in Aruba has significantly impacted the small island, where Venezuelans now represent one in six residents. UNHCR focuses on providing protection and assistance to the most vulnerable, including single female heads of households and children facing barriers to education and healthcare.
*UNHCR’s operations in Aruba are managed by the Panama Multi-Country Office, which also oversees activities in Belize, Cuba, Curaçao, Guyana, Nicaragua, Panama, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago. For more information on activities, results and plans, please refer to the Panama country page.
