World Refugee Day 2004 National Activity Plan: Egypt

On 4 June, a gala dinner will be held to commemorate World Refugee Day and celebrate 50 years of UNHCR in Egypt.
The finals of a refugee football tournament will take place on 6 June. UNHCR will organise this event and the ensuing award ceremony in collaboration with Sakakini Church.
On 19 June, the refugee agency will participate in the annual celebration of World Refugee Day held by the American University in Cairo.
On 20 June, the agency will launch a TV spot with UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Adel Imam that will be aired on several satellite channels in the region. Imam will also dedicate a one-night performance to World Refugee Day on 28 June, with all the proceeds going to UNHCR.
