10 ways you can show solidarity with refugees
Refugee entrepreneurs bring new skills, resilience and adaptability. Employment helps refugees to build a new life for themselves and their family, and enables them to contribute to society. Support a local refugee-owned business, employ refugees in your workplace, or offer mentoring to those seeking careers.
Show your solidarity with those forced to flee and support the right to seek asylum by joining the conversation on social media using the hashtag #HopeAwayFromHome. Check out our social media kit for content and suggested social media messages.
Provide emergency supplies such as shelter, food, water, medicine and other life-saving essentials to people fleeing war and persecution. By donating, you can help refugees rebuild their lives.
You can support refugees by volunteering at a local refugee supporting organization. From foodbanks, language tutoring and legal services to community sponsorship and resettlement support – there are so many ways you can have a positive impact on refugees in your local community.
