Fostering partnerships in higher education for the recognition of refugees’ qualifications

The UNHCR Regional Bureau for Europe, together with the European Students’ Union (ESU), are organizing an online webinar focusing on building networks that support refugee pathways in higher education. Access to education – including higher education – is a human right that must be enjoyed by all individuals, including refugees. The swift, adequate and accessible recognition of qualifications for refugees, especially undocumented refugees, is a cornerstone for entering higher education. This webinar will explore the concrete, meaningful actions that States, higher education institutions and the wider higher education community, including recognition bodies, can take to ensure that refugees are able to enjoy equal access to higher education.
