UNHCR is profoundly saddened by the death of a South Sudanese refugee in the Kakuma refugee camp.

UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is deeply saddened by the death of a South Sudanese refugee in Kakuma refugee camp, who passed away while receiving treatment in the hospital on Sunday 26 April.

We have expressed our condolences to the deceased’s family and community and are providing all necessary support.

UNHCR hopes the ongoing investigation will clarify the circumstances of his death.
