The High Commissioner and everyone at UNHCR were extremely pleased to hear that MSF [Médecins Sans Frontières] volunteer Arjan Erkel has been freed. Mr. Erkel was abducted on August 12, 2002, while working in the Russian Republic of Dagestan.
