World Refugee Day 2004 National Activity Plan: Cameroon

To raise awareness on World Refugee Day, UNHCR will hold several interviews. The UNHCR Representative will participate in a radio programme, "Dimanche Midi CRTV", and a TV programme, "Tam-Tam Week End CRTV".

On 18 June, UNHCR, in partnership with the United Nations and the Red Cross, will organise sports activities, including a marathon with the participation of both refugees and locals, and a football match between a refugee team and the United Nations team. Other recreational activities will also take place.

On 19 June, a fair will be organised on the esplanade of Yaoundé's town hall. Art by refugees will be on display. UNHCR will run a stand, displaying art by refugees and showing films and documentaries.
