UNHCR recommendations to Denmark on strengthening refugee protection in Denmark, Europe and globally

This document sets out a number of observations and recommendations for improvement of the legal framework for the protection of refugees and stateless persons in Denmark. Furthermore, the document also contains recommendations with regard to Denmark's engagement in European and global discussions on refugee issues.

UNHCR offers these recommendations as the agency entrusted by the member states of the United Nations with the global mandate to provide international protection to refugees and seek solutions to their plight. The aim of the recommendations is to contribute to constructive discussions on improvement of the protection and integration systems for refugees and stateless persons at the national, European and global level.
