World Refugee Day 2003 National Activity Plan: Kenya

An exhibition of artworks by refugees will take place at the French Cultural Centre in Nairobi from June 15-22. Photos of refugee youth and posters will also be on display.

On June 18, a Kenyan theatre group will perform on the theme of Refugee Youth. Young refugees will also put up a show, which will be attended by government officials, donors, diplomats, NGO representatives, refugee leaders and UN officials.

On June 20, wheelchair-bound refugees from Kakuma camp will play a basketball match in Nairobi. Refugees from various countries will stage cultural performances with the Minister of Home Affairs as the guest of honour.
