World Refugee Day 2004 National Activity Plan: Lithuania

Meetings will take place in 3 major Lithuanian cities: Klaipeda (17 June), Kaunas (18 June) and Vilnius (21 June), with participants from local/regional/national media, top municipal officials, universities, NGOs including women's organisations, private sector, Refugee Women Association Leaders, Lithuanian Red Cross, Caritas, Members of the Parliament, Social Ministry and MOI officials.

The programme for the meetings includes an introduction to World Refugee Day, getting familiar with the refugee community (presentation of the refugee profile: women, children, elderly), successful refugee integration stories Vs obstacles refugees face; a presentation by the Refugee Women Organization, and a national cuisine fair.
