Funding shortfall may force UNHCR to scale down operations in Darfur
25 Sep 2007 Unless funding is received soon, a shortfall in the Darfur budget may compel the UN refugee agency to scale down its operations to assist internally displaced people and refugees in West Darfur. The UNHCR operation is facing a shortfall of US$7.1 million in its 2007 budget for Darfur of US$19.7 million. UNHCR is appealing to donors for immediate contributions. -
