Swiss helicopters flying for UNHCR end Aceh mission
1 Mar 2005 The three Swiss Super-Puma helicopters generously put at the disposal of UNHCR in mid-January to help out with the UN's tsunami relief operations in the Indonesian province of Aceh, flew their last mission on Sunday 27 February and are now packing up to return home. UNHCR has expressed its gratitude to the Swiss government. -

The aim is to get people displaced by the Dec. 26 tsunami back into their own homes as soon as possible. -
Indonesia: UNHCR assists nearly 12,000 previously-undiscovered tsunami survivors
14 Jan 2005 UNHCR plans to take relief supplies as soon as possible to some 12,000 people it "discovered" in northern Sumatra whose homes had been destroyed by the Dec. 26 Indian Ocean tsunami. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka is slowly recovering from the tragedy, with many displaced people now leaving temporary accommodation centres.
