Iraqi nationals in Syria seek temporary protection; Japan donates tents to UNHCR
31 Mar 2003 While there continues to be no substantial refugee movements out of Iraq, Iraqi nationals living in Syria have been approaching UNHCR to ask for temporary protection. Meanwhile, the Japanese government had donated 160 family-sized tents to the UN refugee agency's preparation efforts in Jordan.
