UNHCR launches airlift to help Lebanese, shipments also under way
10 Aug 2006 A UNHCR airlift to deliver tonnes of urgently needed relief supplies to Lebanon got under way Thursday with one flight arriving in Beirut from Jordan and a DC-8 scheduled to depart Copenhagen for Larnaca, Cyprus later in the day. Two UNHCR-chartered Airbus 310 flights from Jordan are also expected in Larnaca over the next four days. -
