14 Mar 2003 Eight people have died and two have been wounded in a series of incidents involving uprooted people going back to their pre-war homes in Bosnia and Herzegovina. UNHCR officials have described it as the worst string of incidents in years. -
Returns to Bosnia near one million mark
6 Feb 2003 Almost one million people driven from their homes by the Bosnia war have now gone back - nearly half of those uprooted by the three-year-long conflict. Among the returnees, 390,000 have gone back to areas controlled by their former enemies, partially reversing the practice of "ethnic cleansing". -
