World Refugee Day 2003 National Activity Plan: Mexico

A photo exhibition, "Arrancados de raíz", featuring Colombian refugees and internally displaced persons, will be held in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, for the Meeting of Central American Lawyers from June 12-14.

On June 20, an official ceremony to commemorate World Refugee Day will be organised by the Mexican government's Commission to Aid Refugees and the Ministry of Interior.

A fair will take place in the Refugee Park within the Ramón López Velarde Park in Mexico City on June 22. Refugees will perform music and prepare traditional dishes. Crafts made by refugees will be displayed and sold.

A film festival will be organised by the National Commission on Human Rights.
