World Refugee Day 2003 National Activity Plan: Sweden

During the first week of August, UNHCR, together with the Swedish Scouts' Association, will organise a role play programme about being a refugee ("What it could feel like to be forced to flee"). The activity will last for one week and will take place at a summer camp for 1,500 scout leaders in Vässarö Island. A photo exhibition will also be set up at the camp.
Seminars, exhibitions and theatre plays about and by refugee youths will be organised by UNHCR and Swedish youth organisations in Stockholm in the weekend of October 24-26. Schools will be invited to the events.
In November, UNHCR will participate in a national youth conference held in Botkyrka, which has been designated as the Youth Municipality of Sweden.
