World Refugee Day 2004 National Activity Plan: Sweden

UNHCR will organise a seminar on 12 May on the theme, "The Challenges of Refugee Return: Afghanistan, Mozambique and Guatemala". Felipe Camargo, the former Head of UNHCR Sub-Office in Kabul, Afghanistan, will present a summary of his work and the work of UNHCR and other actors in supporting and seeking definite solutions to the suffering of refugees.

UNHCR will organise various events in cooperation with other UN agencies and associations, including a role play with the Scout Movement.

60,000 "A place to call home" postcards are being distributed in 53 Swedish cities - in public places such as restaurants, cafés, bars, pubs, cinemas and student societies.
