We would like to give you more information about how we can empower them together with you and help them build a new existence.

About UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency
UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, works worldwide to save lives, protect rights and provide a better future for refugees, displaced and stateless people. UNHCR believes in the potential of people on the run and does everything to ensure that they can build their own future.
Education is crucial for opportunities for a good future.
Did you know that half of the refugee children do not go to school? And only 7% of these children continue to higher education. UNHCR is committed to doubling this percentage by 2030. It is our dream to let as many young refugees as possible study through UNHCR’s scholarship program. By studying, young people on the run can take back control of their own future and become the leaders and role models within their community.
Today we ask you to offer more young people like Mohamed, Faiza and Shukri a dignified future perspective together with us. Will you help? Will you donate a scholarship to a young refugee?
For 12,000 euros you donate a full scholarship for 4 years including tuition fees, study materials, housing, transportation, personal mentorship and language lessons. Thanks to this scholarship, young people get the opportunity to develop their talents and prepare for the future through higher education.
- Are you considering supporting displaced young people with a scholarship or would you like to exchange ideas? You can contact Ruben Fierens via [email protected] and/or Vittoria Volgare via [email protected] .
- You can also contribute directly via BE61 0018 8535 1917. Please address to UNHCR BELGIUM with a structured message “SCHOLARSHIP”.
Thank you very much for your engagement towards people forced to flee.
“Talent is universal. Opportunities are not.”
