Pakistan relief camp benefits from Korean cuisine
10 Nov 2005 The South Korean Emergency Relief Centre has set up a kitchen in Balakot's Bassian camp to feed close to 3,000 earthquake survivors. The kitchen complements other services that have started in the camp, including the water and latrine system, clinics, schools and hygiene awareness classes. -
Pakistan camp doubles in size as more Kaghan Valley villagers arrive

New wave of people reported leaving remote Pakistani valley
8 Nov 2005 Hundreds - if not thousands - of families are reportedly heading down to Balakot in Pakistan's North-West Frontier Province, after the road to a remote valley was cleared last weekend. As the UNHCR/NATO airlift enters its second phase, the Pakistan army, UNHCR and other aid agencies are preparing themselves for a possible large influx of newcomers into camps in the area. -

NATO-UNHCR airlift to quake-hit Pakistan extended, as winter threatens
3 Nov 2005 The UN refugee agency said on Thursday that its massive joint airlift with NATO - which has already flown more than 51 plane-loads of relief supplies to earthquake-hit Pakistan - will be extended and expanded in a major effort to get life-saving tents, blankets and stoves to survivors before winter strikes. -
