UNHCR Cyprus Report - Intentions and Persectives of Refugees from Syria in Cyprus (2025)
In December 2024, the collapse of the Assad regime marked a significant turning point in the conflict in Syria. Millions of Syrian refugees have been trying to assess what the new reality means for them and their families. Many are considering how safe will Syria be before they can make an informed voluntary decision to return home. In this context, UNHCR conducted a survey to gain insights into the intentions of Syrian refugees and asylum-seekers in Europe, with the goal of informing policy decisions and ensuring that refugee voices are central to discussions about their future. This report refers to findings from the survey in Cyprus.
