Diplomatic Missions and UN Agencies visit Kerman

UNHCR , together with its main Government counterpart coordinated a visit for Diplomatic missions and UN agencies to Kerman province on 26 and 27 April 2016. The delegation comprised of esteemed Ambassadors of Afghanistan, Australia, Netherlands, Sweden, Turkey, Deputy Heads of Mission of the Czech Republic, Germany, Norway, Romania, representatives from the embassies of Brazil, France and Japan, Iran UN Resident Coordinator as well as WFP and UNFPA Representatives participated in the visit.
The participants visited a good number of activities depicting services rendered either directly by the Government or jointly with UNHCR to refugees in the areas of health, education and livelihood as examples of services rendered to refugees throughout the country.
They also had many opportunities to have extensive interaction with refugees of various refugee groups. This provided the group with an overview of best practices resulting from donor contributions and also awareness raising on existing challenges and needs.
