App Trial Community Standards

Community Standards - Supporter

We hope you have a rich and rewarding experience communicating with the Syrian refugee family with whom you’ve been matched. You will have the rare opportunity to enjoy a cultural exchange of ideas and insights into each other’s lives, tell stories and share photos.

To make this the best experience possible, it’s important that all participants feel safe and secure on this platform, so we vet all correspondence and to help you understand what is and isn’t acceptable subject matter and language, we’ve compiled a list of community standards which we ask you to abide by.

We do reserve the right to ensure these standards are adhered. If, for any reason, a user fails to observe the standards, we will return their message citing the Community Standard which was infringed. We will offer the user the opportunity to modify their message and resend. In instances of repeated violations of the standards, we reserve the right to ask persons to withdraw from the trial. We know that you will understand the need for these standards and we thank you for observing them.

As a general rule please ensure that all your messages are respectful and polite.

Please see below our Community Standards and if you have any questions or comments to make please direct them to [email protected]

Inflammatory content - religion / politics

Sometimes we want to talk about politics and sharing thoughts on current affairs can inspire fascinating discussions. But these can also be upsetting and angry conversations. Please avoid sharing inflammatory views about religion or politics that risk offending your refugee family. If the Syrian family you are matched with bring up these subjects, we advise you to discuss with care and sensitivity.
