Economic Inclusion of refugees
Strengthening the capacity of refugees and asylum seekers in Ghana is a core activity in the area of social and economic rights. When POCs are self-reliant, they become self-sufficient in their places of refuge and this enhances the chances of finding a durable solution for them.
UNHCR Ghana works with Partner, ADRA in providing livelihood support by way of small business support and skills training.
But the task cannot be accomplished alone. It requires a partnership framework involving host and donor governments, humanitarian assistance and developmental agencies, civil society, including NGOs, private sectors together with refugees themselves.
