UNHCR works across Myanmar to support over 4.2 million forcibly displaced and stateless people, including 3.5 internally displaced persons.

With more than 200 staff operating from 10 locations, UNHCR prioritises urgent protection and assistance needs in Chin, Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, and Shan States, as well as Bago, Magway, Sagaing, and Tanintharyi Regions.

In close collaboration with UN agencies, NGOs, and local communities, UNHCR delivers life-saving aid - such as shelter and household essentials - while coordinating emergency responses, advocating for rights, and promoting long-term solutions that foster inclusion, safety, and dignity.
