Latvia is an important partner to UNHCR and has been donating to UNHCR on a regular basis since 2012. In 2022, Latvia contributed USD 131,000 to UNHCR.
Facts about Latvia as a donor:
- In 2022, Latvia’s contributions to UNHCR went entirely to the response to the Ukraine situation.
- In 2021, Latvia provided UNHCR with USD 11,933 for the Venezuela situation.
- Latvia provided UNHCR with USD 28,000 in unearmarked funding between 2018 and 2019.
- Latvia has contributed important funding to UNHCR’s Syria response over the years.
