Nikki Samonas

Nikki Samonas is a Ghanaian actress and television host who has been a Goodwill Ambassador for UNHCR since 2019. Known for her dynamic presence in West Africa’s entertainment scene, Nikki has used her platform to champion the rights and well-being of people forced to flee.

Refugees are our family, they are our sisters and brothers. They are our mothers and fathers and we must help.

Nikki has played an active role in UNHCR public campaigns, including World Refugee Day celebrations and regional advocacy through the LuQuLuQu campaign. In 2024, she hosted the AfriPolo event in Accra in support of UNHCR’s private sector fundraising efforts.

Through her influence and voice, Nikki continues to bring attention to refugee needs and contributes to changing the narrative around displacement in Africa.
