EPISODE 1: For the record

This is what you mean for people forced to flee

Registering yourself as a refugee is the first step to survival. It is often the first moment of hope for families forced to flee. And you are playing a big role in that.

Inaam and her family survived multiple airstrikes. After their house was bombed, the family eventually fled. When they arrived in Jordan after a long journey, UNHCR was there to receive them.

Meet mother Farida, father Abdul and the rest of the family! Watch the first episode in the series “Between lives”:

Your help arrives where it is most needed. Ihab, our colleague in Za’atari, introduces you to Farida, Abdul and the rest of the family. He will show you the registration centre, where our UNHCR-colleagues receive and register people upon their arrival in the refugee camp.

7 Steps to Survival

Reception and registration is the first step to survive as a refugee. It is the moment where families forced to flee receive shelter, medical care, food and safety. The moment where families get a little bit of hope. And you are playing in important role in that process.

This is what your supports means to refugees

Your support literally allows UNHCR to be ready to receive families forced to flee. Your support means safety. Your support means that people can finally relax. Your support brings hope. Thank you!
