UNHCR held VIIIth Summer School on Refugee Law and Statelessness Issues

With the support of the Swiss Embassy, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in the Republic of Belarus held the 8th Summer School on Refugee Law and Statelessness in August 2025.

Over four intensive days, 19 law students, selected on a competitive basis, studied international refugee and statelessness law. The programme included lectures by leading experts, group work and practical assignments, helping future lawyers to develop analytical thinking, empathy and responsibility.

Such initiatives play a key role in training young professionals to defend the rights of forcibly displaced persons and strengthen humanitarian values.
