Notice regarding queries on resettlement

Due to several queries received in recent weeks, UNHCR Malta would like to clarify that there is NO indication that the resettlement program between the USA and Malta will restart following its cessation (ending) in 2017.
Registration carried out by UNHCR Malta for holders of Refugee Status or Subsidiary Protection is NOT for resettlement purposes, but to have your records with our office in case we need to contact you for any upcoming integration opportunities or similar local activities.
Kindly note that normal registration sessions have been delayed due to COVID-19. However, refugees in Malta do not need to be registered with UNHCR Malta in order to access support from UNHCR Malta or our partners.
