North Macedonia

UNHCR in North Macedonia operates under the coordination of the Representation for Central and South-East Europe (RCSEE). The RCSEE is based in Budapest and supports operations in the region through a range of field presences and operational modalities.

UNHCR supervises the implementation of the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees and its 1967 Protocol in North Macedonia and the measures undertaken to end statelessness and prevent it from reoccurring, in line with the 1954 Convention relating to the Status of Stateless Persons and the 1961 Convention on the Reduction of Statelessness, to which the Republic of North Macedonia is a signatory state.
