Report of the International Refugee Organization Resolution of 20 July 1950

The Economic and Social Council¹

Takes note of the second annual report of the International Refugee Organization;²

Expresses its high praise for the efficient manner in which the International Refugee Organization has performed the great humanitarian task entrusted to it;

Appeals to the goodwill of Governments, asking them to assist the Organization in achieving its task by the adoption of the broadest possible criteria for the admission of refugees; and

Requests the Secretary-General to transmit to the Organization the records of the discussions on the report which took place at the eleventh session of the Council.³
