1. What is recurring donation and why is it important?
Recurring such as monthly or yearly donations mean you become a "giver" every day. Starting at just 20 baht per day, equivalent to providing 2 bottles of drinking water daily to families who have lost everything from wars and conflicts, you can create changes in lives of families forced to fleeby providing comprehensive assistance. Not just clean drinking water, but you also help provide shelter, food, basic needs, education, medical support, psychological support, and protection from day one until durable solutions are found.
2. How can I be sure that donating through UNHCR is safe and secure?
UNHCR Thailand’s donation system is certified and audited regularly for performance improvement and security safety. Donor’s information is securely protected in compliance with Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and international standards.
Your data will allow us to stay in touch and improve our relationship with supporters like you to ensure transparency. UNHCR is committed to holding your information responsibly and will never pass your details onto third parties.
We also share impact reports with our donors, including stories and statistical information to reflect how the support received is positively affecting the refugee family who receive it. 3. How does UNHCR use donated funds?
All of UNHCR’s programmes are designed to help find lasting solutions to refugees’ problems, whether it’s helping them return home or settle in other countries. We work around the world falls under these main sectors: shelter, health care and nutrition, income generation, water and sanitation, education, legal assistance and protection.
All programmes and sectoral projects are intended to mitigate the harsh circumstances in which refugees find themselves and to create opportunities to re-establish their lives. Special focus is given to the most vulnerable, especially women, children, older people and those living with disabilities. Your donation could go towards funding any of these vital activities.
UNHCR manages donations transparently and accountably. We regularly send operational reports on activities funded by private sector and donor contributions in Thailand.

4. Are donations tax-deductible?
Currently, donations to UNHCR are not tax-deductible. UNHCR is working with relevant government authorities, and donors will be informed as soon as tax-deductible status becomes available.
