UNHCR’s office in the UK works to uphold the rights and well-being of refugees, asylum-seekers, and stateless individuals by offering guidance, training, and support to authorities and relevant stakeholders. The office also advocates for the protection of refugees, stateless persons, and internally displaced people around the world.

Through public outreach and engagement, UNHCR UK aims to raise awareness and promote a balanced, informed dialogue on displacement issues - both within the UK and globally - encouraging inclusion and empathy.

While the office may offer general advice in certain cases to refugees, asylum-seekers, stateless persons, or those assisting them, it does not provide legal representation, legal advice, or financial assistance. UNHCR UK is also unable to support or intervene in individual applications for 'Leave to Remain' in the UK.
