For the fifth year, UNHCR organised the "Rock for Refugees" concert at the open-air theatre, Teatrul Verde. The event was co-sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) under the auspices of the Mayor of Chisinau.

The show featured three Moldovan bands (Gindul Mitei, In Quadro, and Nelly Ciobanu) as well as two groups from Romania (Pasarea Colibri and Pops). During the concert, a lottery was held and prizes were offered by Carpatair, UNHCR, UNDP, OSCE, WHO and Coca Cola. All the proceeds were sent to the Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR), UNHCR's partner organisation, which will purchase sports equipment for refugees and asylum seekers.
